Wednesdays a Divine Mercy Hour begins at 7pm in the Oratory and a Prayer and Praise Group from 8pm-9pm. The prayer garden is open Mondays to Saturdays 10am5pm. Church cleaning is on Friday mornings after Mass if anyone would like to help.

Sunday Masses: vigil 4.30pm, 10am, noon, 6pm. Weekday Mass: 9.30am daily. Confession­s: Saturday: 9am 9.25am and after vigil Mass. Stations of the Cross: Friday 7pm.

The evening service at 6.30pm will also be a youth-focused SOUL service and has the theme “My Jesus, my story”. Several people will share their story about how they found Jesus. The speaker at the Senior Citizens meeting on Monday, March 27, at 2pm will be Margaret Grainger from Larkhall. All senior citizens are assured of a warm welcome. It is a bright, friendly group, which meets each week and starts with a cup of tea and home baking. On Saturday, April 22, the first session of a free six week course called “Parenting from the Heart” will be held from 10 to 11.30 am.

This is for mums and dads of children aged zero to 11 years. For further informatio­n on all these activities, please contact the church on 01698 284004. Boys’ Brigade meets tonight (March 23) in Rorison Church Hall. Prayer Group in Hamilton Hall, Dalserf on Sunday’s from 11.10am.

Sunday Worship on March 26, when the Service will be conducted by the Rev John Stevenson.

Bible Study Group meets in Hamilton Hall, Dalserf on March 27 at 11am.

Girls’ Brigade will present their Annual Awards in Rorison on Monday, March 27. Dalserf and Netherburn Primary Schools will hold their Easter Assembly in Dalserf Church at 1.15pm Boys Brigade will meet again in Rorison Church on Thursday, March 30. The service on Sunday is as usual from 10.45 am and all are welcome to come along.

On Tuesday the Guild of Friendship will meet at 2pm in the lesser hall and they will have Rev Christophe­r Rankine whose theme is entitled “Thinking of others” visitors will be warmly welcomed.

On Wednesday evening from 7.30pm Cameo will meet in the church hall and our speaker will be Peter Clark who will talk about the history of lace making. As always anyone who Reverend Donald Lawrie will conduct the service on Sunday at 11.15am. The Sunday School will meet during the service and tea, coffee etc, will be available after the service. There is no Sunday Bible Study. On Monday the Craft Sharing Class meets at 10am and the Prayer Group at 6.30pm. The Brownies meet on Tuesday at 6.30pm followed by the Adult Badminton Class at 8pm.

There is a meeting of the Kirk Session at 7pm. The Wednesday Fellowship meets at 9.30am followed by the Coffee Shop at 10am and there is a Pastoral Care meeting afterwards. In the evening the Snowdrops meet at 6pm followed by the Guides at 7.15pm. On Thursday there is an Evening of Popular and Classical Music in the Church. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

The entertainm­ent is by Bellshill West Church Choir and is led by Duncan Mackay, Musical Director at Strathaven Academy. Tea, coffee etc, will be served at the interval. Tickets price £7 can be obtained at the door. You can be assured of a wonderful evening of selective music. The Mission Education and Disciplesh­ip Group have planned an evening of ‘New Life. New Hope on April 7, at 7pm when all are invited to come along and share their faith, to chat, sing along, and enjoy a refreshing tea or coffee during the course of the evening.

There is no charge and this is open to anyone in the community who wishes to join us. Jean Stewart held a Fundraisin­g Night in Eddlewood Bowling Club on Monday, March 13, and raised £1000 towards church funds. She thanks everyone who donated and supported this event and Eddlewood Bowling Club for allowing her the use of the hall and amenities. The Smartie tubes are still coming in and the sum of £1000 has been reached so far. The Fundraisin­g Team thank everyone who has helped in this effort.

\St John’s Church

The Rev Joanne Hood will lead the services at 10.45am and 6.15pm on Sunday. A Lent Discussion Group will be held at 5.15pm to 6.15pm prior to the evening service. Easter Messy Church will take place on Saturday, March 25, from 10.30am to 12.30pm. All children welcome, accompanie­d by an adult. The Heart and Soul Swing Band Concert raised a fantastic £1300 for the Church of Scotland HIV Programme. A great concert enjoyed by all who attended. St John’s Centre, Book Corner and Chapel are open Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm.
