Ashgill gala back after twenty-year absence

Residents of Ashgill are all set to bring back their gala day.

The village last hosted a gala day in 1994 and now preparatio­ns are fully underway to hold this year’s on Saturday, May 27.

The parade will leave Ballantine Court at 11.30am and proceed through the village and will end just outside Dalserf Primary School.

There will be lots of stalls, funfair rides, face painter, ice cream, cakes and much, much more.

The pipe band will also entertain and their will be lots of goodie bags to hand out for the children.

All are welcome to attend and dress up for the day.
