GRIEVING MUM’S EMOTIONAL MESSAGE Devastated mother of tragic tot tells fellow parents: “Give your children a hug tonight — you never know if it could be the last time...”
A heartbroken mum who lost her baby last week has urged parents to“give your kids a cuddle tonight as you don’t know when the last time could be”.
Heather Hinshelwood’s fivemonth-old son Jaime Donnelly passed away last Sunday at Wishaw General Hospital after a congenital heart defect went undetected.
The 37-year-old from Hamilton said the tragedy has changed her life forever.
She said: “I was breastfeeding Jaime and I am still producing his milk. It reminds me every day that he is not here.
“My heart is broken, my life will never be the same.”
Jaime was described by his father Mark Donnelly as a “little treasure” and a “joy to be around”.
Following the devastating news of Jaime’s death, friends and family created a fundraising page to help other families who have lost little ones.
So far the page has raised over £1500, which Heather decided will go to charity Brightest Star.
