A video of the community outreach manager at Hamilton Accies giving a team talk before Friday night’s clash with Celtic is proving to be an internet hit.

Over 1700 people have watched the hilarious link that sees Garry King enter the players’lounge – and inspire his‘team’of mascots.

None other than Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Dora the Explorer, Peppa Pig and the club’s very own Hammy the Hamster are given a pep talk.

Garry delivered his speech on Friday night before Accies took on Celtic in the Scottish Premier League, and he tells the mascots that“this is a big, big match”and to remember and“keep it tight at the back”.

He then asks the mascots to nod if they understand before spurring them on with a “They dae the huddle – let’s have a cuddle. Come on!”

The team talk was ahead of Accies introducing their new-look mascot Hammy the Hamster, who has had a facelift after 20 years.

Garry told the Advertiser:“it was just a bit of fun on the night Accies played host to Celtic – a wee video to cheer our fans up following a 4-1 defeat.”

You can watch the video on the Hamilton Advertiser’s website or Facebookpage.
