What do you think of the idea of dog beer?

-

The Applebank Inn in Larkhall have brought out their own version of dog beer in aid of charity.

Reporter Shirley Bartynek this week headed to the pub to find out what kind of reaction this has had with its patrons. Dawn Mcgregor (36), of Larkhall, owner of cockapoo Bella, is all for it.

She said:“i think it’s a brilliant idea. A lot of people view their dogs as their children and the more welcome you feel in a place the more you will want to return.” Lee Jackson (42) of Larkhall, is pictured with her Yorkie-pom Domino.

She said:“I think it’s a great idea. The Applebank Inn is incredibly petfriendly. It’s a great place to be out for a walk with the dog then you have somewhere to stop in.” Pam Nye (47) of Larkhall, is pictured with her Toller Retriever Rosie.

She said:“it is a fantastic idea. Dogs are a part of the family for so many people. It’s great to have a place where you can take your dog too and feel welcome.” Doberman Riley (pictured enjoying the dog beer above) appears to love the new tipple.

His owner Suzie Kelsey, of Larkhall said:“i think it’s a great idea to have a pub this pet-friendly on our doorstep. It’s brilliant.”
