Double act fail to shine

Goldie Hawn’s first movie role in 15 years deserved so much better than this mediocre actioncomedy.

You’d think pairing the veteran up with comedienne Amy Schumer would be a recipe for brilliance. Sadly laughs are at a premium as pratfalls, bizarre scenarios and wonky dialogue take centre stage. Jamie Foxx sleepwalks his way through Swiss helmer Baran bo Odar’s first mainstream flick.

He only comes to life when the bullets and fists start flying, but the central storyline fails to get pulses racing.

Cop movie clichés abound, although bo Odar proves to be adept at making us wince and delivering danger.
