Ju­niors test their skills

Young­sters at Low Waters Ju­niors Club tested their en­gi­neer­ing and con­struc­tion skills at a re­cent ses­sion.

The group meets at Our Lady and St Anne’s Pri­mary School on Thursday even­ings from 6pm to 7.30pm dur­ing term time.

Mem­bers, aged be­tween five and 12, en­joy a range of ac­tiv­i­ties and en­ter­tain­ment, in­clud­ing arts and crafts, games and sports.

The ob­jec­tive of the club is to pro­vide in­for­mal learn­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties for young peo­ple to in­crease their con­fi­dence and self-es­teem.

The group aims to stim­u­late and en­ter­tain chil­dren through active learn­ing, struc­tured play and sport.

Young­sters are look­ing for­ward to a trip to catch the panto at the Town House in Hamil­ton on De­cem­ber 1. The club would like to thank Toner Travel for putting on the trans­port, and Martin Hunter of Rofteq for his do­na­tion.
