So­ci­ety win­ners ares­nap happy

Mother­well Pho­to­graphic So­ci­ety held their first pro­jected image com­pe­ti­tion of the sea­son last week,

Tom Mcginn took first place with Rid­ing High and Paul Mil­lar was sec­ond with Shore and the Guardian. Third equal went to Ode to Si­lence by Paul Mil­lar, The Book­worm by Linda Green­hill and Rain Brings In­spired Hope by Paul Mil­lar.

Tonight’s meet­ing (Thursday, Oc­to­ber 12) will be the themed com­pe­ti­tion where the sub­ject for the pro­jected im­ages will be ‘Ur­ban Land­scapes and ‘Sports’ for the prints. The en­tries will be judged, and the win­ners se­lected by, the mem­bers on the night.

The first be­gin­ners’ class of this year will be on Fri­day, Novem­ber 3, and will be held in the up­stairs rooms of the com­mu­nity cen­tre.

Mother­well Pho­to­graphic So­ci­ety meet on Thurs­days at 7.30pm in Holy­town Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, Steven­ston Street, Holy­town.
