Cash boost for gar­den­ing club

£500 will go to­ward buy­ing plants

Larkhall and District Vol­un­teer group’s gar­den­ing club have been on the re­ceiv­ing end of a cash boost.

The green-fin­gered group were given £500 from the Co-op­er­a­tive So­ci­ety Ltd and will use the cash to buy con­sum­ables.

This money will al­low the gar­den­ers to con­tinue with their project by pur­chas­ing the re­quired plants, com­post and gloves.

The group meet reg­u­larly on a Wed­nes­day from 10am un­til noon, and new mem­bers are al­ways wel­come.

Larkhall and District Vol­un­teer­ing gar­den­ing club have taken part in var­i­ous or­gan­ised var­i­ous events and ac­tiv­i­ties through­out the year.

They have al­ready held a suc­cess­ful spring fair, plant sale days and spring and sum­mer plant­ing. shrubs, bulbs,

And they have en­joyed out­ings to visit other gar­den ar­eas, and at the mo­ment are pre­par­ing for their fundrais­ing plant sale at the cof­fee morn­ing event on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 2.

Any­one who would like to join the group, fill­ing pots and planters should come along on a Wed­nes­day from 10am­noon.
