WRI The gath­ered group were given an in­for­ma­tive talk by a mem­ber of the Dogs Trust team. The vote of thanks was given by Betty Moore. Com­pe­ti­tions: Flap­jacks – 1. Sheila Moore 2. Betty Moore. A favourite dog or­na­ment – 1. Phil Find­lay 2.Betty Moore 3. Alison Bris­bane. A lovely sup­per and the raf­fle ended the evening. The group then held a small whist drive. Pres­i­dent Janet Fos­ter wel­comed the play­ers. Alison Bris­bane was card mas­ter and Iso­bel Mar­shall pre­sented the prizes. The next meet­ing is on Thurs­day, April 12 at 7.30pm in the Vil­lage Hall. The talk will be on scarfs and ac­ces­sories. Com­pe­ti­tions are a knit­ted scarf and a piece of chunky jew­ellery. Sup­per and raf­fle to fol­low. Cam­era Club An­nual ex­hi­bi­tion en­tries have now all been handed in for judg­ing, dig­i­tal im­ages will be judged on April 12 and prints will be judged on April 19. All mem­bers who have tro­phies from last year are re­minded to en­sure all tro­phies are re­turned to the club com­mit­tee by April 19. The club will then be show­ing the mem­bers in­di­vid­ual chal­lenge im­ages from last year on the April 26 and a field trip is planned for the May 3. The club’s year will fin­ish with its prize­giv­ing and an­nual ex­hi­bi­tion in the Rankin main hall on May 10.
