WRI The gathered group were given an informative talk by a member of the Dogs Trust team. The vote of thanks was given by Betty Moore. Competitions: Flapjacks – 1. Sheila Moore 2. Betty Moore. A favourite dog ornament – 1. Phil Findlay 2.Betty Moore 3. Alison Brisbane. A lovely supper and the raffle ended the evening. The group then held a small whist drive. President Janet Foster welcomed the players. Alison Brisbane was card master and Isobel Marshall presented the prizes. The next meeting is on Thursday, April 12 at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. The talk will be on scarfs and accessories. Competitions are a knitted scarf and a piece of chunky jewellery. Supper and raffle to follow. Camera Club Annual exhibition entries have now all been handed in for judging, digital images will be judged on April 12 and prints will be judged on April 19. All members who have trophies from last year are reminded to ensure all trophies are returned to the club committee by April 19. The club will then be showing the members individual challenge images from last year on the April 26 and a field trip is planned for the May 3. The club’s year will finish with its prizegiving and annual exhibition in the Rankin main hall on May 10.
