Memorial Parish Church

The morning service on Sunday, April 15, at 10.45 am will be a family service and will be led by the Youth Pastor Jonathan Davie.

After the morning service, two members of the congregati­on will be available to pray with anyone feeling the need of prayer.

Light refreshmen­ts will be served in the halls after the morning service and everyone is encouraged to join in this time of informal fellowship.

The evening service at 6.30pm will be led by the senior pastor, David Wilson, and the title will be “Samson’s last stand – failure and restoratio­n”. The senior citizens meet on Mondays from 2pm to 3pm for a cup of tea, some home baking and wee blether; then we enjoy singing and listening to people who have an interestin­g story to share.

The guests on Monday, April 16, will be “Ministry in Song”. The ladies time out is holding a film night on Tuesday, April 17, at 8pm. Entry is free and free popcorn and ice cream will be provided.

The men’s fellowship is having a half day golf outing to Callander on Saturday, April 28.

The church has opened a Youtube channel which will be showing both live and recorded church services – search on Youtube for “Hamilton Baptist Church”. Sunday worship will be held on Sunday, March 25, in Dalserf at 11.30am conducted by the Reverend John Stevenson.

The choir will meet at 10.30am. There will be a praise evening in Dalserf next Sunday, April 15, at 7.15pm.

This will feature the new life singers with their conductor Philip Fox. Guest organist is Peter Shepherd (organist/ director of music, Bothwell Parish Church).

The evening will be led by Rev John Stevenson and will conclude with refreshmen­ts in Hamilton Hall. Bible study group will meet on Monday, April 16.

Boys’ Brigade will meet in Rorison on Thursday, April 19. Our guild outing will take place on May 19, to Glasgow Cathedral and The People’s Palace with high tea at Chatelhera­ult Inn. Anyone wishing to join us should contact Kay Blair.
