Smart move by quiz kids

Hamilton Advertiser - - ALL ABOUT LANARKSHIRE -

A team of Hamilton College pupils will make their television debut next month on a kids’quiz show.

Top Class is hosted by Scottish comedian Susan Calman on CBBC.

Teams compete for the title of the UK’S smartest school by answering questions on the National Curriculum in a knockout format.

The idea to participate came from two of the team members, Alastair Cooke and Adeeb Sarfraz. The J7 boys took part in the Hamilton District Rotary Primary Schools Quiz, coming second. They enjoyed it so much they encouraged classmates, Harry Nuttall, Nick Reid and Olivia Smith to join with them for Top Class.

School mascot Hami bear also joined them, and the youngsters said the filming was a brilliant experience.

Catch the pupils on Sunday, September 23, on CBBC.
