A time to remember our brave heroes
The banqueting hall at South Lanarkshire Council’s headquarters fell silent as a Remembrance service took place at the weekend.
Organised by the local branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland, it was moved indoors from Hamilton’s top cross due to the weather on Saturday.
The service allowed Hamilton to pay its respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice and was attended by veterans as well as Sea and Army Cadets.
See pages 25-27 for more on how the town will mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First Worldwar.
