Food news & reviews

Kelly Barfoot, the woman behind the successful home delivery service Boxxfresh.com based out of Titchfield, has recently launched Vegbred, a naturally gluten free bread made with sweet potato. A busy mum of three; Kelly is a self-taught cook and is passionate about plant-based food and inspiring others to eat well. Her professional background in dance, health and fitness has given her an understanding of the importance of eating the right foods, and she hopes this new product will encourage a movement in innovative baked goods that are both delicious and cater to varied dietary needs. Lovingly handcrafted at the kitchen table, Vegbred was born of a confluence of ideas and foodie passion to create a delicious but super-healthy bread that all the family can enjoy, regardless of age or diet. Seeing a gap in the market for naturally gluten free craft breads, founder Kelly Barfoot and partners Kate and Jon set about bringing Vegbred to life. We found it to be an excellent alternative to rye, and delicious with chalk stream trout and cream cheese.
