Hampshire Life - - Inside -

“As a lover of the great outdoors, to be out in nature at dawn and dusk with my camera in hand is the most enjoyable thing in the world. Living near the border of Hampshire and Dorset I am lucky enough to visit and enjoy the beauty of both counties.

I took this shot during a beautiful sunset visit to Hurst Lighthouse. The lighthouse is located at Hurst Point and was built in 1867 to guide vessels through the hazardous western approaches to the Solent.

It’s a long walk and took us around 45 minutes, but what an evening for it; it was stunning! I took this shot just as the sun was setting to the left of the image. Golden colours filled the sky as the clouds made their way past and I opted for an 8 second exposure. It was long enough to capture the gentle breeze on the long grass in front of me and slightly soften those clouds blowing past.”

This image of Hurst Lighthouse and all Emily’s images are available for purchase, visit emilyendeanphotography.co.uk to see more of her work.
