Have your say on new post of­fice

FUR­THER to your story, Post of­fice branch­ing out into back of shop, (Ruis­lip and North­wood Gazette, Wed­nes­day, Au­gust 6), I as­sure your read­ers that we are com­mit­ted to keep­ing post of­fices on high streets in ar­eas such as East­cote.

East­cote branch is cur­rently loss mak­ing, and we feel the best op­tion for its long term vi­a­bil­ity is to part­ner with a nearby re­tailer.

Should the move go ahead, the branch would of­fer ac­cess to the same post of­fice prod­ucts and ser­vices in a new, mod­ern en­vi­ron­ment with longer open­ing hours on a Satur­day af­ter­noon.

We are cur­rently un­der­tak­ing a six-week con­sul­ta­tion on this and would like to stress that no fi­nal de­ci­sion has been made.
