Top spot clinched
FASSNIDGE Bowls Club have finished top of the Chiltern & Thames league, having won seven out of eight matches.
The club is playing in tournaments on Sunday, when Brian and Sue Lawes and Brenda Connor are in the quarter final of the Chiltern & Thames Mixed Triples, while Sue will also be in action in the Middlesex mixed pairs with Alan Hooper.

Elsewhere, Harlington were defeated 107-92 in their friendly at Hove & Kingsway last week where M Redpath, J Fisher, J Roland and D Cutmore formed their highest winning partnership, 30-17.
Harlington were also in action in a bannerette match against Hayes and District Bowling Association and, despite winning two of the three rinks, they were defeated 51-42. The top scoring rink was Maureen Cotterell, Pauline Weller and Fred Pickard of Hayes, winning 19-13.

Meanwhile, there was disappointment for Northwoodd in Veteran’ss League Division One as Wealdstone made a late charge to pip them to the title in the final two games.
At the bottom, Ladygate have saved themselves from relegation, while the Ruislip club have also won Division One of the Bidgood League.
