FC BRIDGE have set their sights on back-to-back pro­mo­tions as they pre­pare to kick off their Mid­dle­sex County League (Sun­days) Di­vi­sion One cam­paign this week.

The Uxbridge side have had a busy sum­mer as they get ready for life in Di­vi­sion One and have signed five new play­ers.

Danny Ben­nell, Jay Dehaan, Jack Big­wood, Billy Clarke and Kieron Grad­well have joined and ave ex­pe­ri­ence with the kes of Hare­field United, illing­don Bor­ough and xbridge. Man­ager Bazza Walsh pic­tured) has his sights rmly set on pro­mo­tion nd another piece of il­ver­ware after last year’s Di­vi­sion Two Cup win.

He said: “We be­lieve we’re ca­pa­ble of chal­leng­ing for pro­mo­tion. We started our pre­sea­son back in July and have re­mained un­beaten, so we have a fit and con­fi­dent squad.

“After last sea­son we lost five or six play­ers and we have a few se­ri­ous in­juries, so it was im­por­tant that we re­placed them.

“We’re strong all over the pitch and have com­pe­ti­tion for places, which is a pos­i­tive thing.”

FC Bridge, who again will be cap­tained by Mur­ray Wil­liamson, will play their home games at Brunel Univer­sity and kick off their league sea­son by host­ing CB Houn­slow United (Sun­day) thirds.

Else­where in the Premier Divi­son, AFC Hayes Re­serves were 4-0 win­ners at CB Houn­slow United re­serves while Hilling­don drew 2-2 with In­ter­wood.
