Give Tesco run for its money

RE: New Asda in Hayes I THINK a breath of fresh air is required in the area.

The fact that about 500 jobs will be created speaks for itself. As for the death of Hayes Town, it already died a long time ago.

If you do want to visit Hayes, it is an absolute nightmare by car: not enough spaces and the system of semi-opening it up has worsened problems. People double-park and take a space even though someone else has been waiting.

The silly hump along Coldharbour Lane is a waste of time and money. Again people double-park, crossing over the hump as soon as they see a space.

The shops are literally all the same: veg shops, phone shops, food shops. The town is virtually a lost cause and beyond repair.

Also the takeover of Tesco is beyond belief. They seem to be consuming every street corner and spare acre of land!

Asda is a lot more family friendly and provides goods at very reasonable prices. It’s about time someone around here gave Tesco a very good run for its money.

I personally cannot wait for the store to open.

We need and hopefully will have a safe, no-nonsense, all-under-one-roof solution.
