MID­DLE­SEX COUNTY LEAGUE DI­VI­SION THREE Ick­en­ham 211 all out MTSSC 151 all out Ick­en­ham won by 60 runs ICK­EN­HAM gave them­selves a fight­ing chance of mak­ing a great es­cape after a 60-run vic­tory over MTSSC on Satur­day.

Ross Berti top scored with 62 as his side picked up a vi­tal 10 points and means they go into the fi­nal game of the sea­son know­ing a win could save them.

How­ever, they will need to se­cure vic­tory against North London and hope South Hamp­stead lose against Har­row Town to stay up by virtue of wins gained.

Berti helped Ick­en­ham reach 211 all out be­fore Paul Sims (4-36) and Greg Knowles (4-50) saw MTSCC dis­missed for 151.

Else­where, Sachin Gul­vady scored an un­beaten half-cen­tury as Eastcote won by seven wick­ets at South­gate to pre­serve their Di­vi­sion Two sta­tus, while Uxbridge were three-wicket vic­tors against Shep­herd’s Bush thanks to Gar­ton Klein­veldt hit­ting 84 not out.

In the Thames Val­ley League, Old Mer­chant Tay­lors’ are on the verge of the Divis­dion 3B ti­tle after over­com­ing Kew seconds by six wick­ets.

The vic­tory puts them 15 points clear of Che­sham seconds go­ing into the fi­nal match of the sea­son.

Hayes were beaten by 133 runs at Son­ning in Di­vi­sion 2B, while in Di­vi­sion 4B Ruis­lip are four points adrift in the fi­nal rel­e­ga­tion spot after be­ing edged out by just six runs by Burn­ham thirds.

In the same di­vi­sion, Ju­lian Corbin’s 55 was in vain as Hilling­don Manor lost by eight wick­ets to Mar­low seconds.

Doug King took 5-27, but Hare­field re­main in deep trou­ble in the Home Coun­ties Premier League Di­vi­sion One after a 46-run de­feat to High Wy­combe and are six points from safety go­ing into the fi­nal match against Ban­bury this week­end.

Else­where, North­wood Town have been rel­e­gated from Sara­cens Hert­ford­shire Cricket League Di­vi­sion Three after a five-wicket loss to Hert­ford seconds.

But there was bet­ter news in Di­vi­sion Two for North­wood, who won by 96 runs against Redbourne.
