Bride riding high on the way to wedding reception

Harefield Gazette - - NEWS -

EVERY bride needs a groom. On this happy occasion, so did the wedding transport.

Joanna Ross and Michael Williamson got hitched on Saturday at St Martin’s Church, in Church Road, West Drayton, in a ceremony conducted by the Reverend Rosy Barrie.

They then hoofed it to nearby Southlands Arts Centre for the reception, with Joanna riding Maddy, a beautiful black-andwhite Shire horse, whose mane had been decorated with white roses.

The wedding guests followed on foot on a balmy, ‘Indian Summer’ day.

It was the first time the arts centre, off The Green, in West Drayton, has been used for a wedding celebration.

Midwife Joanna, 33, was then whisked off on a mystery honeymoon by her 35-year-old husband. The Gazette can reveal they are on a tour of Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Burma.
