AFAMILY fled their home leading two dogs to safety after a fire broke out in an upstairs room.

The blaze, in an end-of- terrace home in Culvert Lane, Uxbridge, damaged about 20 per cent of the upper floor, according to London Fire Brigade (LFB), which sent appliances from Hillingdon and Heathrow fire stations.

Two dogs had already been led to safety by the time the brigade’s crews arrived at the fire, on Wednesday last week, at about 1.15pm.

The incident was over by 1.45pm.
