New inspector’s goals

Harefield Gazette - - NEWS -

A NEW police inspector has taken over in the north of the borough but already he is promising to ‘get on his bike’.

Rob Bryan is the new neighbourhood inspector for Ruislip, Ickenham, Northwood and Harefield.

A police officer for 25 years, he has previously been successful with neighbourhood policing in Southall and Hounslow, winning the Community Police Officer of the Year Award in 2007.

“My goal is to increase the visibility of the local officers,” he said.

“I want officers and PCSOs on foot patrol, on the streets, where the public wants to see them.

“Although we sometimes need cars to get around, I will be ensuring that officers park those cars up and actively patrol on foot.

“You will see me out and about on my bike too.”

“I am also going to make our public meetings more frequent and have a greater variation of times and locations,” he added.
