Man­slaugh­ter charge for pair

TWO men were charged with man­slaugh­ter after an as­sault ended in a fa­ther-of-five’s death.

Rakesh De­soura, a tour op­er­a­tor, who was known as George, died after an ar­gu­ment broke out near the pa­rade of shops in Rye­field Av­enue, Hilling­don, on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 18.

Po­lice of­fi­cers called at 12.55pm to ‘re­ports of an as­sault’ at a prop­erty in the same road and dis­cov­ered the 42-year-old un­con­scious and be­ing treated by London Am­bu­lance Ser­vice staff.

He died at the scene at around 2.10pm and the re­sult of the post­mortem held the fol­low­ing day gave the cause of death as ‘a coronary heart at­tack caused by an as­sault’.

Hark­i­tan Singh Ti­wana, 55, of Ap­ple­tree Av­enue, Uxbridge, and Bikram Mul­tani, 30, of Dud­ley Road, Southall, were charged with man­slaugh­ter and will ap­pear at the Old Bai­ley on Oc­to­ber 6. An in­quest has been opened and ad­journed.
