Lorry driver dis­qual­i­fied

SOUTH RUIS­LIP: A lorry driver who got his ve­hi­cle wedged un­der a low bridge has been dis­qual­i­fied from driv­ing.

In Jan­uary, Ku­ruza Chirinda, 47, of Green­hill Gar­dens, Northolt, drove his Den­nis Refuse Truck un­der the bridge in Sta­tion Road, South Ruis­lip, de­spite it hav­ing a height re­stric­tion.

He was given a £150 fine and or­dered to pay a £20 vic­tim sur­charge and £50 court costs at Willes­den Mag­is­trates’ Court on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 18, for driv­ing with­out due care and at­ten­tion.

He has been dis­qual­i­fied from driv­ing for six months.
