Little fingers show their artistic talent

Harefield Gazette - - NEWS -

Nchildren, some less than a year old, showed off some early creative talent during an art competition. Little fingers picked up little paint brushes to create mini-masterpieces based on the theme of autumn at Premier Nursery in St John’s Road, Uxbridge.

Nursery director Jag Kumar said: “Children have been making, drawing, painting and colouring their own piece of art at home and then brought it in to show us at nursery.

“We were also provided with some lovely photos of children and their parents making the art work at home, to go alongside their beautiful art.

“The artwork is of a spectacular standard having regard to the ages of the entries – this was a wonderful event which parents, families and carers have been heavily involved with.”

Mayor of Hillingdon, Councillor Catherine Dann, and Uxbridge North ward councillor David Yarrow had a tricky time choosing the winners.

Annabelle Hunt won first prize in the under two category for her painting of a tree, with Emilia Patel winning for the over two category with her inventive collage picture of a hedghog using leaves.

Runner-up for the under two section was Lucas Dunkling and for the over two group, Marco Scarparo.
