Pair in hos­pi­tal after Long Lane pile-up

TWO peo­ple were taken to hos­pi­tal fol­low­ing a three-car pile-up that forced the clo­sure of a road in Hilling­don for 90 min­utes.

The ac­ci­dent oc­curred at about 2pm on Mon­day in Long Lane.

Ac­cord­ing to London Am­bu­lance Ser­vice of­fi­cer Chris Hawk­swell writ­ing on Twit­ter, the col­li­sion in­volved three cars, one of which was over­turned as a re­sult of the im­pact.

Six peo­ple were as­sessed by mem­bers of an am­bu­lance crew at the scene and one per­son was said to be trapped inside a ve­hi­cle for a time.

Two peo­ple were then taken to a ma­jor trauma cen­tre.

Long Lane re­opened to traf­fic at about 3.30pm.
