More hours for Rural Tea Rooms
prosper together, rejecting a spiral into long-term decline. THE Rural Activities Garden Centre and Rural Tea Rooms has opened its doors to the public on Saturdays, extending its hours to provide six days a week coverage from 9am to 4pm.
The tea rooms, at the activities garden centre in West Drayton Road, Hillingdon, is managed by the charity Hillingdon Autistic Care and Support, which helps families impacted by autism.
The project helps to prepare young people to lead more independent lives and helps them gain valuable employment skills. The tea rooms, next to an ornamental garden, offer home made cakes, sandwiches and much more, in a wonderful setting.
The centre provides educational and supported employment and volunteering opportunities for residents with additional needs.
It is committed to using the finest quality seeds and compost to grow and sell high quality produce, whilst offering employment and training opportunities for people with a learning disability. Poultry is reared on site and eggs are sold.
