More hours for Ru­ral Tea Rooms

pros­per to­gether, re­ject­ing a spi­ral into long-term de­cline. THE Ru­ral Ac­tiv­i­ties Gar­den Cen­tre and Ru­ral Tea Rooms has opened its doors to the pub­lic on Satur­days, ex­tend­ing its hours to pro­vide six days a week cov­er­age from 9am to 4pm.

The tea rooms, at the ac­tiv­i­ties gar­den cen­tre in West Dray­ton Road, Hilling­don, is man­aged by the char­ity Hilling­don Autis­tic Care and Support, which helps fam­i­lies im­pacted by autism.

The project helps to pre­pare young peo­ple to lead more in­de­pen­dent lives and helps them gain valu­able em­ploy­ment skills. The tea rooms, next to an or­na­men­tal gar­den, of­fer home made cakes, sand­wiches and much more, in a won­der­ful set­ting.

The cen­tre pro­vides ed­u­ca­tional and sup­ported em­ploy­ment and vol­un­teer­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties for res­i­dents with ad­di­tional needs.

It is com­mit­ted to us­ing the finest qual­ity seeds and com­post to grow and sell high qual­ity pro­duce, whilst of­fer­ing em­ploy­ment and train­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties for peo­ple with a learn­ing dis­abil­ity. Poul­try is reared on site and eggs are sold.
