Four ar­rested dur­ing armed po­lice raid

TWO men ar­rested in an early-hours armed po­lice raid have been bailed.

Of­fi­cers were called to a house in Mil­ton Way, West Dray­ton at 1am on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 9 after re­ports of what ap­peared to be a sil­ver firearm be­ing handed be­tween two of a group of four men in nearby Wordsworth Way.

The of­fi­cers of the Spe­cial­ist Firearms Com­mand en­tered the house and ar­rested all four men. Two were later re­leased.

A man aged 20 and another aged 25 have been given po­lice bail un­til Tues­day, De­cem­ber 2.

The gun, dis­cov­ered by a snif­fer dog ac­cord­ing to po­lice, and be­lieved to be a ball bear­ing fir­ing weapon, has been sent for foren­sic tests.

Po­lice of­fi­cers from the Uxbridge North ward team will be on hand to an­swer your ques­tions on how to pre­vent crime at the intu Uxbridge shop­ping cen­tre from 10.30pm to­mor­row (Thurs­day).

The of­fi­cers man­ning the crime preven­tion stall in the shop­ping cen­tre will also be giv­ing away purse bells in or­der to help you keep your be­long­ings safe.
