Primary’s on the rise
Pupil numbers up at school
PUPIL numbers are on the up at a newly expanded primary school which is planning to hold an open morning to attract more parents.
Ruislip Gardens Primary School, in Stafford Road, has been under-subscribed in recent years but since it has moved to three-form entry, the word about the school has spread and pupil numbers have increased.
To show prospective parents the new classrooms, the school is holding an open morning to give guided tours and give parents the opportunity to watch nursery and reception sessions.
Head teacher Marc Titeux said: “During the last academic year we were particularly proud of the performance of our year six pupils as 100 per cent of them achieved a level four in their reading test and 98 per cent of them reached the same nationally expected standard in their maths test.”
The open morning for prospective parents will be on Friday, November 7 from 9am until 11am.
