Man charged after al­leged as­sault

PO­LICE have charged a man fol­low­ing an al­leged se­ri­ous as­sault in Uxbridge on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 16.

Ter­ence McNab, 47, of Cow­ley Road, Uxbridge, was ar­rested on Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 21 and charged the fol­low­ing day with one count of caus­ing griev­ous bod­ily harm.

He was re­manded in cus­tody ap­pear at Uxbridge Mag­is­trates’ Court on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 23 and was then fur­ther re­manded in cus­tody to ap­pear at Isle­worth Crown Court on Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 5.

Four other men ar­rested be­tween Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 17 and Mon­day, Oc­to­ber 20 have all been granted

to po­lice bail un­til Novem­ber while po­lice in­ves­ti­ga­tions con­tinue.

The 49-year-old vic­tim re­mains in hos­pi­tal in a crit­i­cal con­di­tion.

A sec­tion of Wind­sor Street be­tween Har­ris & Hoole cof­fee shop and NatWest Bank was cor­doned off while po­lice of­fi­cers ex­am­ined the scene.
