School ac­tor pops in for chat to mark an­niver­sary

PUPILS got a spe­cial treat when Water­loo Road ac­tor Richard My­lan popped in to help cel­e­brate their school’s 15th an­niver­sary, writes Will Ack­er­mann.

The ac­tor, who plays Si­mon Lowsley in the BBC drama se­ries, chat­ted with young­sters at Hilling­don Manor School on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 23.

The cel­e­bra­tions were also at­tended by Uxbridge and South Ruis­lip MP John Ran­dall, deputy mayor of Hilling­don Coun­cil­lor George Cooper and deputy may­oress Coun­cil­lor Ju­dith Cooper.

As part of the event, stu­dents danced and staff sang dur­ing an assem­bly.

The school in Har­ling­ton Road, Hilling­don was co­founded in 1999 as an ed­u­ca­tional fa­cil­ity for chil­dren with autism by Anna Kennedy, whose two sons have the con­di­tion, and is run by Prin­ci­ple Akinyi Dulo.
