Steven’s goose logo is on the move
A GRAPHIC design student from Uxbridge College has won a national competition to create a new livery for a worldwide logistics company.
Steven O’Neil’s design was chosen over more than 180 others and Hellmann Worldwide Logistics UK has now used it on one of its trailers.
The 18-year-old also won a new laptop, a £100 retail voucher, a Hellmann goody bag and a reference from the firm to put on his CV.
Steven, of Morello Avenue, Uxbridge, said: “It was a great achievement for me to win the national competition and it gave me such a big self-confidence boost as a student and upcoming graphic designer.
“The process took a number of weeks from start to finish, a lot of which involved research into Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and its competitors in the market.
“I found a way of incorporating Hellmann’s iconic geese symbol into a design that represents movement, standing out on the side of its road freight vehicle, and it was amazing to see my design on the trailer.”
On top of Steven’s prizes, the company gave Uxbridge College £1,500 worth of vouchers for graphic design equipment and software.
