Crowds came to help light up the Manor

STALLS lined the streets and shop­pers came in their droves to ex­pe­ri­ence some fes­tive fun at the an­nual Light­ing up the Manor event, kick start­ing the Christ­mas shop­ping sea­son in Ruis­lip Manor.

The Win­ter Fun Day be­gan on Satur­day in Vic­to­ria Road at 11am and soon fam­i­lies were flock­ing to make the most of the fun avail­able.

High street traders of­fered spe­cial dis­counts and fam­i­lies en­joyed fun fair rides and amuse­ments.

The event, or­gan­ised by the Ruis­lip Manor Cham­ber of Com­merce (RMCC) and sup­ported by Hilling­don Coun­cil, in­cluded the switch-on of the high street’s Christ­mas lights by the Mayor of Hilling­don, coun­cil­lor Cather­ine Dann.

RMCC chair­man Les Drus­sel said: “Thank you all very much to ev­ery­one in­volved for tak­ing part.”
