MP to join Santa in opening fayre
DROPPING in alongside Santa in Ruislip next weekend will be MP Nick Hurd, who will open the annual Martinmas Fayre at 10.30am on Saturday, November 15.
Held in St Martin’s Church Hall, in Eastcote Road, Ruislip, the fayre starts the countdown to Christmas and gets people into the festive spirit while they get on with their Christmas shopping.
As well as Santa’s grotto, attractions include craft, gift and speciality stalls, face painting, a silent auction, home baking and preserves, and a café.
Local schools and brownie packs are among those hosting stalls, along with craft makers, Christmas gifts, toys and books, and the ever-popular bottle tombola.
Entertainment will include carols from Ruislip Operatic Society singers.
