How can anyone steal floral tributes?

Harefield Gazette - - OPINION - MOTT

FURTHER to the story in last week’s Gazette, I had the same happen the day before (‘ My mother’s funeral flowers were stolen’, Gazette, November 19).

Sadly, on Thursday, October 30, we said goodbye to my lovely mum, Anne Message. This day was already heartbreaking as it was – we gave her a lovely send off, including the release of doves – then to discover the next day we had two floral tributes stolen was absolutely unbelievable.

It was so upsetting. We only had 10 floral tributes, as we had contributions made to part of the British Heart Foundation.

We discovered that two had disappeared before 11am the next day, so they had been taken late afternoon or early evening on the Thursday, or the Friday morning.

We were so upset. How can anyone do such a thing? These were sent in memory of my mum.

It is so cruel, these people do not care, they are heartless. We had plans for these flowers and I am still upset and angry by all of this, something I won’t forget. I do hope no more people suffer this heartache.
