First phase of Royal Quay

Harefield Gazette - - FRONT PAGE -

THE first phase of a luxury waterside development has been unveiled to villagers and promises to benefit the economy of Harefield.

A listed former warehouse at the Royal Quay development next to Coppermill Lock has been converted into 30 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments each with views overlooking the Grand Union Canal and with their own parking.

The Longroom off Summerhouse Lane is the first part of the development by Oakford Homes to open to the public.

When complete, the full project will provide more than 65 homes – newly-built town houses and buildings converted to apartments.

Chris Coates, of Oakford Homes, said: “It’s expected that Royal Quay will bring an influx of wealth to the area from the new residents who choose to live here.”
