As snug as a pug in a rug
THESE lovable mutts are keeping warm in style this winter thanks to a generous donation of knitted blankets.
Charity fundraiser Sandra Broad stitched 18 of them to keep the pooches at Dogs Trust Harefield cosy in the cold weather.
The colourful creations appear to have hit the right note with three-year-old labrador Winnie and lurcher puppies Vera and Valeria, both 11 weeks old.
Richard Moore, manager at the rehoming centre, said: “We were delighted to receive such a generous donation and, as you can see from this picture, the dogs are equally happy.”
Mrs Broad, 72, of Hornbuckle Close, Harrow, spent six months knitting together more than 1,600 coloured squares to make the woollen blankets.
The Harefield Dogs Trust branch, in Harvil Road, cares for about 120 dogs at any given time.
