Teenager faces trial for bur­glary

A MAN will go on trial charged with a string of of­fences in­clud­ing steal­ing more than £15,000 worth of jew­ellery and watches from homes across Hilling­don.

Al­fie Joe Caw­ley, 19, is al­leged to have bur­gled three pri­vate prop­er­ties be­tween Oc­to­ber and Novem­ber.

He is ac­cused of steal­ing a pass­port and jew­ellery to the value of £10,000 from a house in Hol­loway Lane, West Dray­ton, on Mon­day, Oc­to­ber 6; watches worth a to­tal of £5,700 from a house in Churchill Av­enue, Uxbridge, on Fri­day, Novem­ber 21; and an iPhone 4, a Sam­sung Lap­top and a Pana­sonic LED TV from a house in North­wood Road, Hare­field, also on Fri­day, Novem­ber 21.

He will face two other charges of de­stroy­ing a car he did not own with­out law­ful ex­cuse, and of steal­ing items from a car on Sun­day, June 15 in Flamingo Park – a sports and leisure ground in Sid­cup.

Mr Caw­ley, of Pine­hurst, Wil­low Grove, Chisle­hurst, has been re­manded in cus­tody and is due to go on trial at Isle­worth Crown Court to­mor­row (Thurs­day).
