Crash injures moped rider

HARE­FIELD: A moped rider suf­fered se­ri­ous leg in­juries in a crash in Hare­field.

The London Air Am­bu­lance was called to the junc­tion of Harvil Road and Moorhall Road on the south­ern edge of the vil­lage at 2pm on Tues­day, Novem­ber 25 after re­ports of a col­li­sion in­volv­ing a ve­hi­cle and the moped.

The rider, a man aged 21, suf­fered se­ri­ous but non-life-threat­en­ing in­juries in the smash but was taken to a cen­tral London hos­pi­tal by road in the end.

Harvil Road was closed at the junc­tion with New Year’s Green Lane to the south.

The driver of the other ve­hi­cle, a Mit­subishi pick-up truck, stopped at the scene and was not ar­rested. mem­ory of Tom Ousby and Anne Walder.

Tom, for­merly of Uxbridge and who had nys­tag­mus, an eye con­di­tion, died in Spain in Au­gust last year after a fall from a ho­tel bal­cony.

Anne Walder was cared for by the LJMC in North­wood.
