Drayton Garden Village wins top national prize
SPECIALIST house builder and brownfield developer Inland Homes is celebrating after being awarded Silver for ‘Best Landscape Design’ in a high-profile national competition for its development in West Drayton.
The announcement was made in front of more than 1,600 construction industry professionals from across the UK at the What House? awards, held at London’s Grosvenor House on Friday, November 21.
The award is the latest in a string of national accolades that the pioneering 779-home community has attracted during 2014.
Drayton Garden Village has also won ‘Highly Commended’ in The Sunday Times British Homes Awards for Development of the Year (over 100 houses), Best Regeneration Project at The Housebuilder Awards, and Development of the Year (51+ units) at The Bricks Awards.
Stephen Wicks, chief executive at Inland Homes, says: “Drayton Garden Village is a fantastic example of a brownfield site being transformed into a thriving community of sustainable homes in a beautifully landscaped setting. It was thrilling to win Silver at these esteemed awards, especially after all our other commendations this year, and we were delighted to learn that the judges found the development as exciting as we do.”
Drayton Garden Village trumped developments across the UK for its inspirational landscape design. The village has been planned by Inland Homes to include large amounts of open, outdoor space, including village greens with seasonal-themed play areas, avenues landscaped by trees and hedgerows, and houses with goodsized gardens.
Owing to the success of the first phase of homes released at ‘Vista’, Drayton Garden Village back in July, when almost all the properties were reserved at the opening weekend, Inland Homes has recently launched a second phase of two-bedroom and three-bedroom homes.
As they are being released early, the houses are available to reserve at today’s prices, ready for a move in Autumn/Winter 2015. Prices for the two-bedroom houses start at £339,950 and for the three-bedroom at £394,950. A show home is open to view. There are now just two four-bedroom houses remaining from the July launch – priced at £519,950 – which are scheduled for completion in Summer 2015.
The marketing suite at Vista is open seven days a week from 10am to 5pm. For further information, please call 01895 431 901 or email email@example.com.
