We need your unwanted gifts

Harefield Gazette - - NEWS -

EVERY year we all end up with at least one unwanted Christmas present. Whether it is a DVD you have already seen, a book you have already read or the annual pair of knitted socks from Aunty Doris, there is always something we could happily do without, sitting around at this time of year.

So this year, why not donate it to your local RSPCA charity shop and help raise vital funds for animals in need?

RSPCA Middlesex North-West is offering a guilt-free way to offload unwanted Christmas gifts, by appealing for them to be donated to its network of charity shops.

There are seven shops all very happy to accept your surplus presents, with proceeds from their sale helping to pay for the recovery, rehoming and care of abused and neglected local animals.

RSPCA shop manager Mags Wheatley said: “Every Christmas people receive presents they don’t really need, want or may already have. It would be a shame to leave these unwanted gifts to gather dust when they can go to a good home and raise money for a good cause at the same tim
