Pop-up pool of­fers free swim

A TEM­PO­RARY swimming pool has opened in Hayes, of­fer­ing some ses­sions free of charge.

The pool at Bel­more Pri­mary Academy, in Owen Road, will re­main open for 12 weeks.

It has been funded by the school and Hilling­don Coun­cil, which teamed up with the Am­a­teur Swimming As­so­ci­a­tion and mo­bile pool provider To­tal Swimming for the project.

Coun­cil­lor Dou­glas Mills, cab­i­net mem­ber for com­mu­nity, com­merce and re­gen­er­a­tion, said: “We have fan­tas­tic leisure fa­cil­i­ties in the bor­ough and this tem­po­rary pool is a wel­come ad­di­tion. I hope

The Uxbridge Gazette Se­ries it will en­cour­age more res­i­dents to ei­ther im­prove their swimming style or con­fi­dence.

“There are plenty of dif­fer­ent ses­sions on of­fer to suit ev­ery­one’s abil­ity and re­quire­ments.”

Satur­day ses­sions are free, while oth­ers cost £2.

All ses­sions booked.

Ac­tiv­i­ties avail­able in­clude con­ven­tional lessons, aqua fit­ness and sin­gle gen­der, com­mu­nity group and adult-and-child ses­sions.
