What is the cost of a council u-turn?
MANY people will know that I have been closely following the development proposals for the ex-Express Dairy site, in South Ruislip.
However, in spite of this I was absolutely amazed to read in last week’s Gazette that the developers will pay Hillingdon Council £2.7million and, in addition, they would also pay for Victoria Road and Long Drive to be widened (how? There’s little room for any significant widening), new pedestrian walkways between South Ruislip Station and the new development, more traffic lights, etc.
