More young muggles can be enchanted by Harry
AN EVENING of spells and magic as well as craft activities and quizzes will take place at libraries around Hillingdon next week when it hosts a Harry Potter Book Night.
The event has been organised by the books’ publishers Bloomsbury, to give fans of J.K. Rowling’s series a chance to share the wonder, and introduce the next generation of young Muggles to the world of Hogwarts and Harry Potter.
The Hillingdon events take place at six of the borough’s libraries on Thursday next week.
Activities kick-off at Yeading Library, in Yeading Lane, when it hosts a two-hour session which will be attended by characters from the books. Those present will also be given a magic potion to help their health and well being.
This will be followed by a create a spell and craft session at Oak Farm library in Sutton Court Road. This takes place at 3.45pm and is suitable for kids between seven and 10. Booking is required. And later that day four libraries will host magical craft activities and quizzes for fans of the school boy wizard and his friends.
These take place at Northwood Hills, West Drayton, Ickenham and Harefield Libraries from 4pm to 5.30pm, and are also aimed at kids between the years of seven and 10. All events are free. See www.hillingdon.gov.uk/ events for bookings.
