2 Nurs­ery wants to make big strides

NEWLY-OPENED Min­is­teps Nurs­ery is invit­ing par­ents and tots to go along to an open day to see what it has to of­fer.

Par­ents will be able to see how the nurs­ery (pic­tured be­low), in Joel Street, North­wood Hills, op­er­ates on a nor­mal day, as well as be­ing able to sam­ple food from its regular menu.

Chil­dren will be kept en­ter­tained with a bouncy cas­tle and could even get the chance to meet Peppa Pig.

The nurs­ery opened on Jan­uary 5 and so far has 11 chil­dren on its books. It looks af­ter those aged be­tween three months and five years old and is open from 8am to 6pm, Mon­day to Fri­day, all year around ex­clud­ing bank hol­i­days. What? 3 Get on the mic if you’re feel­ing brave

A BI- MONTHLY open mic night has been formed for lovers of live mu­sic and lit­er­a­ture.

The night is a col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween Hilling­don Coun­cil’s Arts and Li­brary Ser­vices and is a chance to sam­ple the best lo­cal mu­si­cal and lit­er­ary tal­ents with a hand­picked se­lec­tion of per­form­ers or, if you are feel­ing brave, you can sign up on the night for a floor-spot to per­form. Meet and net­work with other mu­si­cians, writ­ers and eative peo­ple in an or­mal and friendly mo­sphere.

Ho­tel com­pany No­va­tel has flown to the res­cue and is hold­ing Novo­tel Su­per He­roes Days at 33 ho­tels across the UK, in­clud­ing one in Cherry Lane, West Dray­ton.

Let your lit­tle hero’s imag­i­na­tion soar with fun and ed­u­ca­tional ac­tiv­i­ties for chil­dren aged be­tween five and 11 this half-term.

THE intu Uxbridge shop­ping cen­tre will be sup­port­ing Na­tional Sto­ry­telling Week with a string of ex­cit­ing ac­tiv­i­ties run­ning un­til Fe­bru­ary 8. All week the cen­tre

will be invit­ing chil­dren and adults to es­cape into a world of fan­tasy by help­ing them­selves to a free book.

One adult book­case will be placed in the lounge area and one chil­dren’s book­case in the play area, where shop­pers can take one book to en­joy at their leisure.
