His­toric rape charges

HIS­TORIC charges of rape, bug­gery and in­de­cent as­sault have been filed against a 48-year-old man from Uxbridge.

Billy Roy Day, of Cum­brian Way, will ap­pear in cus­tody at South­wark Crown Court on Fe­bru­ary 17 for a plea and case man­age­ment hear­ing. He faces three charges re­lat­ing to a rape al­leged to have taken place near Hen­don in 1984.

Th­ese are a sin­gle count of rape of a fe­male aged over 16; one count of bug­gery with a woman; and one count of in­de­cent as­sault on a fe­male aged over 16. but were un­able to en­ter and noth­ing was taken.

Po­lice do not know ex­actly when the at­tempted break-ins oc­curred or if the at­tempted bur­glar­ies are linked.
