Have your say on budget plans
TIME is running out for residents to comment on Hillingdon Council’s budget for 2015/16.
Hillingdon is looking to find savings of £15 million but has announced plans to freeze council tax for a seventh year running.
It says plans to balance the budget will not involve a reduction in frontline services and that savings will be made through improved business processes and procurement.
A draft budget was approved by the council’s cabinet at a meeting in December and residents can make comments before the final budget is set at the full council meeting due to be held on February 26.
Hillingdon leader Ray Puddifoot said: “Although there are tough times ahead, thanks to our sound financial
better management we are in full control of the budget situation.
“While other local authorities are making cuts to services, our budget protects front line services that our residents value and provides further investment in local services and puts residents first.”
