Gallic flair as French market hits town
ATASTE of the Continent came to Uxbridge when a French Market rolled into town. Exotic foods from France, Spain, Italy and beyond were available in the high street from Thursday to Saturday.
Foods, ranging from baguettes, croissants and crepes, to terrines, pates and meats, and cheeses, condiments, cooked meat, and ratatouille, were all available.
Those with a sweet tooth indulged in a baklavas, sticky gateaux, nougat and Turkish delight.
As well as the delicious foods on offer, shoppers also browsed an art and fashion stall.
Organiser Philippe Basset said: “Customers had the best quality goods and service available during the three days.
“It’s a very popular market and it was a very successful one.”
