Prison for thief who ignored ASBO
A THIEF who breached his Anti-Social Behaviour Order has been jailed
Luigi Inglese, 39,of no fixed abode, was sentenced at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, April 18 to four weeks in prison for theft and breach of his ASBO.
The court heard that a condition of Inglese’s ASBO banned him from going into Uxbridge town centre.
On Thursday, April 16, Inglese was inside the Marks & Spencer’s store in High Street, where members of staff saw him stealing.
The next day Inglese was seen once again inside the same store and staff called police, who arrested and charged him.
Acting Police Sergeant James Burgess said: “Inglese was fully aware of the conditions of his ASBO but continued to breach them in order to commit a crime.
“The police and the town centre security team continue to work together to create a safe and crime free town centre for people to shop and enjoy.
“Those who think they can come here to be of annoyance to others or commit a crime will be dealt with by the police.”
